From Lightroom to Darkroom

Today Scott collaborated with Bemis resident, Kate Lee "Tessa" on a multi-media project of hers that required a traditional photographic technique utilizing a 4X5 camera. "I felt the need of shooting her concept with Type 55 Polaroid and preserving the negative for reproduction. Polaroid and most traditional chemistry is hard to come these days, so a big shout out to Midland Scientific, Inc. for having some Sodium Sulfite in stock." Bill was in the "Lightroom" while Scott revisted the "Darkroom".

With these hands.

Scott took great pride in framing some recent acquisitions from trade assignments with Bemis residents for our studio. "I wanted to see the print with a little implied tension and put it in a shadow box to make the prints more dimensional". FayKu's "Backstabber" can be seen below but you should see it framed under the correct lighting, what presence of such a gifted artist, check out her work.

Scott also printed and framed two large prints for charity auctions coming up soon. He decided to make a limited run of his Iris Re-Bloom. "My family has grown Iris for years and this hybrid I grew re-bloomed last October so I wanted to capture it in an open and closed state. I pretty stoked with the print".
